I am Catherine Hartland and I commenced the firm in 2010. After encouraging my business partner Maurice to join me, we have built up one of the largest and most Client focused practises in Wales.
Since 2010 we have won over 20 National awards, the latest awards have been: Woman in Law ' entrepreneur of the year 2010/21' (finalist UK), I am Managing Partner of the Year 2020, our property team are property team of the year and conveyancing team of the year.
I believe that to be a success you simply have to keep moving forward, trust your instincts, look after your teams, and not least, look after your Clients.
We are a close firm that look out for each other, we enjoy our work and have fun as well as provide the best service we can. We enjoy working with our chosen Charites each year and you can read about them in our blogs, Facebook pages and on a 'social responsibility site'.
We are constantly learning, constantly growing and believe that challenges are opportunities.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 having completed my articles (training contract) in a Cardiff solicitors firm.
I specialise in litigation matters, I enjoy advising clients on how to resolve their issues and have a particular interest in Landlord Law.

The department is growing year by year and I am extremely grateful to be a part of their growth. Which is mainly down to the experience and dedication of our team in Newbold.
I do not have time for hobbies, but I strongly believe in animal welfare and looking after the vulnerable in our society; I like politics and my go to place is a beach.
